Guard Your Heart is designed to help guide, mentor, and direct young men socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually. Based on the entirety of Chapter 4 of the Book of Proverbs, Guard Your Heart uses verse 23 as a springboard: Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life (New Living Translation).

Sessions are held every third Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the church building. Numerous volunteer facilitators guide each session. There are activities, guest speakers and lunch.

While Guard Your Heart is for young males, some emphasis will be focused on single-parent/single-mother homes, young men experiencing behavior, academic, and social challenges, and those that can benefit from developing leadership skills.

• Guard Your Heart is not a professional or clinical services-based program, and the facilitators and volunteers are not necessarily trained or licensed professionals. All volunteers working with our youth will undergo a criminal and driving background check conducted by the Renaissance Church of Christ.
